MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD IN THE PARISH ROOMS ELVASTON STREET, DRAYCOTT ON TUESDAY 9 JANUARY 2018 AT 7.30PM

2/18. Variation of Order of Business – none.
3/18. Declaration of Members Interests – none.
4/18. Dispensations – Dispensations had been requested and granted to all Councillors in respect of budget and precept making business.
5/18. Public Speaking –
Derbyshire Constabulary – PCSO Pykett had provided a written report detailing 8 crimes and 1 ASB. She had commented that there had continued to be a large number of vehicle crimes in the area and sheds had also been targeted. She had asked that the Parish Council put an item about crime awareness on the web-site.
Derbyshire County Council – Cllr Parkinson informed the meeting that there was nothing to report.
Erewash Borough Council – Cllr Clare reported on the refuse collection timetable.
6/18. Minutes – RESOLVED to confirm as a correct record the Minutes of the meetings held on the 12 and 19 December 2017and the 9 January 2018.
7/18 To determine which items if any from Part 1 of the Agenda should be taken with the public excluded. – none
8/18 Chairman’s Announcements. – Councillor Clare reported that she had received a letter of resignation from the Clerk and RFO (see item 9/18ii). She also asked Councillors to regularly inspect the Council’s open spaces and to report any problems to the Clerk.
9/18. Report of the Parish Clerk –
i) Budget and Precept 2018/19 – RESOLVED a) that the Parish Council set a Precept of £31550 for 2018/19.b) that the Parish Council set a Concurrent Functions budget of £45,796 for 2018/19.
ii) Staffing Requirements 2018 – RESOLVED a) to accept the resignation of the Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer to Draycott and Church Wilne Parish Council and b) to set up an Appointments Committee – members to be the Chairmen of the Council’s committees.
iii) DALC Circular 15/2017 – item 3 – GDPR – RESOLVED to support the option of a nationally provided service for the role of Data Protection Officer.
iv) DCC – Local List – draft for consultation – RESOLVED no response.
v)Draycott Parish Council – Action Plan 2018 – the plan for 2018 was RESOLVE
