069/16. Declaration of Members Interests – Cllr Orchard declared an interest in Minute 075/16c) as he is a member of the Parochial Church Council. He took no part in the discussions or voting on this item.

Derbyshire Constabulary – PCSO Pykett had provided a written report detailing 5 crimes since the last meeting.
Derbyshire County Council – Cllr Parkinson had provided a written report.
Erewash Borough Council – Cllr Clare reported on EBC activities.
072/16.Minutes – RESOLVED to confirm as a correct record the Minutes of the meetings held on the 10 May 2016 and 14 June 2016.
073/16 To determine which items if any from Part 1 of the Agenda should be taken with the public excluded. – No items were deemed confidential.
074/16 Chairman’s Announcements. – Resignation – the Chairman read out a letter of resignation from Councillor Jacqueline Price with immediate effect – which was accepted. The Clerk was asked to write a letter of thanks to Mrs Price and notify EBC of the casual vacancy. Other announcements – Band Concert – 26/6, St Chad’s Water LNR – acknowledgement of Tesco funding – 5/7, DMGT play area – opening – 11/7. Americana event – cancelled.
075/16. Report of the Parish Clerk –
a) Open spaces works –RESOLVED i)to carry out works at the Leisure Green and Draycott Millennium Green at a total cost of £4635.ii) that the Chairman of the Leisure Green Cttee and Clerk examine the possibility of making an Awards for All application for work to the MUGA and report to the next meeting.
b) Christmas Tree planter – RESOLVED; i) that the DVF/Din B be asked to empty the planter after the scarecrow festival so that an examination on the base of the planter can be carried out prior to the September PC Meeting ii) that Cllrs Fletcher, Orchard and Wilson carry out the inspection and report to the September PC Meeting. iii) that the Clerk obtain a quotation for Christmas illuminations for consideration at the September PC Meeting.
c) Songs of Praise event on the Leisure Green – RESOLVED to approve the request to hold the event on the 28th August 2016.
