DRAYCOTT PARISH COUNCIL

MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD IN THE PARISH ROOMS ELVASTON STREET, DRAYCOTT ON TUESDAY 9 DECEMBER 2014 AT 7.00PM

 

Present; Chairman – V Clare

Councillors – D Dundas, D Orchard, A Perkins (7.20pm), M Alexander (7.15pm), C Wheatley, B Rogerson, M Tudbury. E Wright.

Derbyshire County Council – Councillor R Parkinson

 

PART 1 – NON-CONFIDENTIAL ITEMS

131/14. Apologies- RESOLVED to approve the apologies for absence submitted on behalf of Councillors M Selwood, A Wilson and PCSO Pykett.

 

132/14. Variation of Order of Business – none.

 

133/14. Declaration of Members Interests – Councillor A Perkins declared an interest in the payment to Boston Promotional Gifts UK (140/14) as he is the owner of the business. He took no part in the discussions or voting on this item.

 

134/14. Dispensations – had been requested and granted to all Councillors in respect of budget and precept making business.

 

135/14. Public Speaking –

PCSO Pykett had sent a written report that there had been 4 crimes since the last meeting.

Cllr Parkinson reported on DCC matters.

Cllrs Orchard and Clare reported on EBC matters.

 

136/14.Minutes – RESOLVED to confirm as a correct record the Minutes of the meetings held on the 11 and 25 November 2014.

 

137/14 To determine which items if any from Part 1 of the Agenda should be taken with

the public excluded. – No items were deemed confidential.

 

138/14 Chairman’s Announcements – the Chairman remarked on the success of the Christmas lights switch-on event and thanked Councillors involved.

 

139/14. Report of the Parish Clerk –

a) Green Energy UK Direct Ltd – development of solar farm – RESOLVED not to pursue the matter.

b) EBC – Parish Councils Audit – RESOLVED to note the report.

c) Playing Fields – football matters – RESOLVED to note the update and approve the actions of the Open Spaces Committee.

d) EBC- Borough/Parish Forum – 14 January 2015 – RESOLVED to note the information and not to submit any items for discussion.

e) DCC – Claim to add a footpath from Hills Road, Breaston to canal footpath – RESOLVED that the Parish Council had no comment.

f) St Chad’s Fishing club – duties carried out for the Parish Council – RESOLVED that the Open Spaces Committee should meet with the fishing club.

g) Society of Local Council Clerks – RESOLVED to continue with the subscription.
